When you follow up to the fetchmail-users list, be sure to provide:

1) Version of fetchmail (if not already 6.3.8 then upgrade to 6.3.8)
2) Contents of .fetchmailrc
3) Output of "fetchmail --nosyslog --nodetach -vvv" for a problem email

I suspect however that you'll find that solving your second problem
will make this vanish.

Yes - see the man page for the "envelope" option.  In your case you would use:

envelope Delivered-to 2
