"weird" is a pretty mild description. It's utterly broken.

Thanks a lot. I have applied your patch, to ship with -rc10.

I have also revised specgen.sh a bit to avoid bogus mail addresses with
FM_* unset (we'll just list the developer list address as packager) and
to work with versions that contain a "MINUS" character (6.2.9-rc10).
