...was test code, not the official 6.2.6 code.
Which is - we can share embarrassment here - still not released yet.

The code is not up-to-date, and I don't see this problem when using my
version against a server that does not support CAPA.

May I ask you to try

first and report here if your problem persists in 6.2.5.991?

That is newer code (2005-03-01) in spite of the lower version number
(the "6.2.6" snapshot is from 2004-11-10).

If the problem persists in that code, I'll have a closer look.
