To fill in, the original audit trail is
at http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=113492
which led to a fix in Dovecot, but there is a fix still pending for
fetchmail, which is what Fabrice is asking about. I've rediffed his
patch, see below.

I've reproduced the problem with FreeBSD 4.10's dovecot package, can
confirm that the patch fixes the problem and am committing it. The fix
will be in 6.2.6.
