Here is an updated patch now. There is no change in imap.c. Only the
test in driver.c has been modified to make fetchmail always enter IDLE
mode. Also, the comments in driver.c have been updated.

Please try this patch. As before, this patch has to be applied after

Are you using a clean version of 6.3.4? I am getting offset messages,
but no failures.
