There are only 2 things that can cause fetchmail to run slow (assuming
you're not trying to run it on a 386 or older):
1) Slow network link
2) Slow MTA for delivery
What we really need to see are:
1) Contents of .fetchmailrc (masking passwords etc)
2) Output of "fetchmail -v -v --nosyslog"
3) Contents of your mail log (probably /var/log/maillog or similar)
for the same run as (2)
To help you identify where your problem lies.
