Upgrade to 6.2.5.2 (or 6.3). The version you're running has known

In short, as you'll know from reading the archive, SOCKET errors mean
that the network connection between fetchmail and either the SMTP or
POP/IMAP server failed. Often you can get details from "fetchmail -v
-v" or from looking in your mail log that'll tell you what failed.
