We are working on a new website for FERS, which you can find (for now) at http://www.brooker.co.za/fers/
The web site includes detailed examples of using FERS, information on contacting the authors, Debian packages and more.
We have also released FERS revision 110, a new version with support for the HDF5 file format and many other changes and revisions. FERS is still fairly far from being complete, but it's heading towards being usable.
The first source release of FERS can be expected soon, probably before the end of September. We are currently making sure that the source is fit to be releases, doing some testing and generally making sure we are ready.
FERS is still in extremely active development and is nowhere near being feature complete or bug free. It does represent several months of active development, and we hope somebody will find it useful or feel inspired to contribute.
