The validator does not test to see if an Atom feed's
<link rel="self"> accurately points to where the feed
is retrieved from.

For example, Ben de Groot links to only his main Atom
1.0 feed for his WordPress blog, but other feeds can be
manually typed in. Unfortunately these feeds all have
the same rel="self"s.

FEED: http://dev.d10e.net/nb/2005/08/feed/atom/
LINK: <link rel="self" type="application/atom+xml"
href="http://dev.d10e.net/nb/feed/atom/"/>

The validator lets this through without comment.

I'm not sure if this makes the feed invalid (the link
certainly isn't "a resource equivalent to the
containing element," as in the spec), but the validator
should at least give a warning like:

"This feed links to itself as X, but we retrieved it
from Y."
