I just had a crazy idea to add Atom support really easily. Atom is advocated by http://www.Blogger.com/ and you can read about it at http://www.AtomEnabled.org/ Anyway, there is a service provided by http://www.2rss.com/ that will convert Atom feeds to RSS feeds. We could just automatically use that service to translate. Here is an example translating the Atom feed from my blog: http://www.2rss.com/atom2rss.php?atom=http%3A//www.mckeeth.org/bsdg/atom.xml Here is their page about the service: http://www.2rss.com/software.php?page=atom2rss This is kind of a hack, but what do you think? It would only work for feeds on the public Internet, which would cover most of them. I have not delved deeply into Atom yet to see what would be involved in translating it. -Jim |
