AFAIK, That is incompatible with the GPL. The GPL requires that all
parts included / referenced area also under the GPL, unless they are
included with the OS or compiler - thus the Win32 API and the Delphi
VCL are compatible (I actually checked with the FSF on the latter).
The GPL also precludes credit requirements.
Just as an FYI, the fact that we use 3rd party, non-GPL components is
also not compatible with the GPL for the same reasons. The MPL or BSD
would be more compatible. Not sure the legal ramifications of a
change in license, but I think that as long as all the contributors
agree then we can do that. But the fact that the current license is
incompatible with the project is a pretty good reason to change.
We can contact the FSF if we need clarification on this. They are
pretty good about responding.
