#93 Kill duplicate Headlines

Hey,

i mentioned that some feeds give me the headlines
repeated. Every time i hear the alert sound and have to
check wether there are really new new or the same
headlines again.
Perhaps Feedreader can delete duplicate headlines from
feeds (detect by the same link, not the same headline)
and dont treat these as new ones. I think this would be
a great help.

That's a feature I would also suggest. I have the problem,
that I modify sometimes news headlines entered by users on
my webpage. Newsfeader then displays these messages
under circumstances twice.. once with the old headline and
one with the new one.
It would be nice if NewsFeader could recognize redundant
headlines and then remove the old one from the list and
display the updated one instad or something linke that. Don't
know if the url could be used as a unique key or if there is
any other was in RSS to determine updated headlines.

I agree, this would be EXTREMELY appreciated on 90% of the
moreover feeds that send me an advertisement everytime the
headlines update...at 30 different feeds from moreover, this
adds up really quick and is very annoying....

I am also looking for the ability to automatically have
duplicate headlines automtically filtered out. I think it would
be good to make it a user option rather than just doing it for
everyone.
