I use FeedReader 2.5 build 610 and the nasty problem is
that it does not save the proxy server.

This means that every time it starts I must go to
Properties ->Connection an re-edit the proxy server IP
and port.

This is extremely anoying as, besides this, FeedReader
is a great product and has all the things that I need.

It would be great if this bug would be fixed.

Fixed in CVS. Will be in the next release.

Check if your access to the registry is limited.
Up to Feedreader 2.5 Build 610 the settings are stored in
the registry, this is changed in the current CVS-Version.

I did not look at the code, but after a few tests, it seems
that 2.5 build 610 gets its proxy settings from IE, not from
    the registry.
Proxy settings are saved in registry, but are never read (I
updated proxy settings in registry but build 610 never used
them : it just overwrites them...).

Workaround : set your proxy settings properly in IE (it
works for me, except for the automatic configuration which
    is simply ignored).
