After resizing the window split so as to maximise the
browser window, it will not not pull back down, so
headlines are hidden permanently.

exactly! I can get the left column back, but not the header display area after resizing... guess I'll have to re-install??!!

Reinstalling Feedreader will not help. Try this:

Close FeedReader, search for file "feedreader.ini" and open it
with notepad. Search for entry "vert=0" and replace it
with "vert=10" and save the file. Restart Feedreader. Now you
    can resize the window.

I've had the same problem. I uninstalled the application and
reinstalled, and I still can't get the headlines. I even
tried installing 2.8, but I still have the same problem. Any
    advice?

Should have read the comments first. Thanks raimiz, updating
    the ini file worked.

I have the same problem - with v2.9 - and there's NO .ini
file! I found a 'vert' entry in the registry. It was set
to 200. I changed it to 10 as per below, re-started
    Freedreader and still no joy

    Help?

Are there any plans to fix this? I'm running 2.90 and I
have no feedreader.ini file nor registry entry that I can find.
