#302 Jump to the next unread headline

I just started using the product and can not figure out
how to jump to the next unread headline even though I
have that feature checked. I will be reading a headline
and click on the "delete message" icon and then it
should go to the next headline, but instead I still
have to click on the next unread headline to read it.
Is this a bug or am I missing something? Thanks!
