Feed Reader Alpha 2.5 Build 567 has extremely high
CPU utilization while updating, staying at 95% for quite
some time. In this type of application, I can't imagine
that being necessary. It seems like somewhere in the
code there's a while(true); going on or similar spinning
while waiting for incoming data. If a better method is
not available, at least insert some Sleep(0) calls while
waiting.

I've noticed the problem still exists on the newest build.
    Still not fixed:(

I'm experiencing the same problem with 2.5 build 610.

i am seeing the same behavior (win 2K)

only remedy i've found is to completely exit & restart.

I am on Windows 2000 using build 2.6 641 and it still uses up
all remaining CPU when updating the feeds. It doesn't seem to
affect performance of other applications, though.

Yeah, that pretty much made the application useless in my
environment. I can't have the computer stop responding due
to a tray app, so I moved on. If you don't mind spending a
few bucks for a supported commercial product, check out
www.newsgator.com for excellent integration with Outlook.
