I've customized some of the general settings (like turing
off the sound etc.). Next day these settings are back to
their default.
FeedReader Version 2.5 Build 610. Windows XP Pro
SP1, logged on with admin rights.
It seems to me that you have to completely shut down feed
reader before the settings are saved. Just closing the window is
not enough if you have it running as a service in the tool bar. You
have to actually exit in the toolbar.

when I shut down Windows.
Wouldn't it be more robust if options changes would be saved
immediately (when you close the options dialog), instead of
waiting until the shutdown of Feedreader?

Found out this same feature. Seems that your really have to
exit from FeedReader from systray before any setting gets
saved.
Funny that shutting windows down doesn't save settings...
