Feedreader version: 2.7 Build: 646

In the header-pane, the pane that shows the
description of all read and unread headers of a feed, the
Headline field is not shown when a Topic is available.
The Topic is shown instead of the Headline. The
Headline field has the size 0.
I'm still able to see the Headline field when I drag the
Topic field to the right or when I select a headline and
press CTRL + Numkeypad-Plus.

On my system here, using 646, with ...

    http://www.diodesign.co.uk/index.rdf

... as an example feed that uses both topic and headline, I can
see both the topic and the headline. However, there is a
problem with the resizing of columns which is characterised in
bug#1015260 (Mark feed as read resizes column).

The routine that handles the resized columns doesn't appear
to take some things into account and I'm reasonably sure
there are some failure cases that have uninitialised variables.
But I can't be sure at this second.

Does the above feed generate the problem you described ? Or
is it restricted to only a particular feed ? Actually I'd be
interested in any other real-world topic-based feeds, as I don't
    know of many.

    Hi Gerph...
    .
Yes, I have the same problem with the feed you specified...
Again, I don't see the "Headline" field because its size is set
to zero. And I can only see the "Topic" field.
    .
Some additional info on my bug report:
    Problem feeds:
    - http://www.diodesign.co.uk/index.rdf
    Feedreader version:
    - 2.7 Build 646
    Windows version:
    - Win 2000
    - 5.00.2195
    - ServicePack 4
    .
Hope this is enough info. If not, ask me and I will supply. :-)
    .
Is there someone out there who doesn't have this problem on
    the above feeds?

Re: real-world feeds that produce this problem, here are two:

    Slashdot
    http://slashdot.org/index.rss

    Gizmodo
    http://www.gizmodo.com/index.xml

    Feedreader Version 2.7 Build 646
    WinXP Pro
    Version 2002
    Service Pack 1

The problem is the same - the Headline column is resized to
zero any time you leave the feed and return to it. Topic
and Date columns always display fine. I have a couple of
other feeds with no topic/category information included, and
these never experience the above problem.
