I've migrated this project to github. Updates will no longer be posted to sourceforge. Head over to https://github.com/growse/Feedling to get the latest.
I've switched the license for Feedling away from GPL to a BSD license. I'll be updating the source code to include the licensing information.
0.8 is soon, and it'll fix some things users have commented on.
I've not done a release in a while, mostly because I think I've got the basic functionality of what I wanted to achieve done. I've been running it a while and am fairly happy that it's reasonably stable. It's missing a few "nice to have" features, but I'm slowly putting them in.
So, in the 0.7 version we'll have variable width panels, variable number of headlines, better notification of unread / unseen headlines, allsorts. Things are a bit busy though, but when I get the time I'll put it in, test it and release.
Well, I got around to doing another release. Highlights in this one include a Facebook feed plugin. Facebook kindly provides RSS feeds for your inbox and friend's status, but nothing for the stories bit. With feedling, you just have to add http://m.facebook.com/stories.php as a feed, with your credentials set for that feed (as type 'Other') and it'll do some clever screen-scraping and get you a feed for your stories.... read more
Well, 0.5 is out. And there's some exciting feed authentication action going on as well...
Well, I missed a bug in the settings saving, so here's 0.4. That'll learn me.
Hurrah, 0.3 is out the door. Quite a few changes in this one - I've moved the handling of the feeds themselves out into a plugin-based system. I'll be adding some documentation on how to create / edit plugins on the project site. On top of this, feeds are now individually customizable.
0.2 has been released, and it fixes a few things. Here's the changelog:
- Fixed click on long item titles
- Added 'refresh all' button for all feeds
After faffing about for a little while, I've managed to package up version 0.1 and release it. It's a bit rough round the edges, and there are certainly more features that need to go in, but it's mostly usable for the moment.
