Hey, I thought it was finally time to release the src and binaries as 1.0. >From what I hear, Remy won't have the time to maintain the Mac-version any more (am I correct, Remy?), so I just released the windows binaries. I never understood this sf.net release system really, so perhaps this could have been done better, I don't know. Anyway, it had to be released some time, and I suddenly felt a short wave of enthusiasm to do it :-D Cheers, (a) -- dipl. ing. alexander lerch zplane.development :www.zplane.de katzbachstr.21 d-10965 berlin fon: +49.30.854 09 15.0 fax: +49.30.854 09 15.5 |

Yes I don't have much time left, but I should manage to pack together a bunch of feapi plugin all together by the end of this month. > I never understood this sf.net release system really, so perhaps this > could have been done better, I don't know. The weird thing is about version numbers: we have FEAPI FEAPI.1.0.src.zip September 11, 2007 FEAPI-1.0 FEAPI1.0-rc1_Win32.src.zip June 20, 2005 maybe we should use rc4/rc5 or 1.1 or switch to 2.0, any suggestions? > Anyway, it had to be released some time, and I suddenly felt a short > wave of enthusiasm to do it :-D Yes thanks for doing it. |

The initial state was FEAPI FEAPI1.0-rc1_Win32.src.zip June 20, 2005 then I wondered what a package and what a release is and created the FEAPI-1.0 package. By then I realized that was stupid and tried to merge these two packages by renaming both the FEAPI, without result of course, and then renamed the wrong of them. Sigh. Probably shouldn't post how stupid I am, should I? Anyway I changed the package names now to FEAPI-1.0 and FEAPI-1.0rc1, that should be ok. Hi all, good to see some activity here :-) I'm actually at DAFx at the moment, where the original paper was first =20 published by Alex. I saw Gunnar has a paper here, but apperently he's not on the =20 registration list, so I won't be able to meet him. Remy, there's also a guy from IRCAM here who claims to know you =20 (someone with Iranian roots, and coming from San Diego, Arshia I =20 believe?) Nothing more to say though, just letting you guys know. Best, Koen PS As you may have noticed, that graphic designer I contacted didn't find =20 the time to make some logo/web design... Yes, he's a very good friend of mine. Alexander: I've seen how other sf projects works, and I think we should have only one package named FEAPI with several versions attached to it, and for each version several files (src, win32, mac...) see for example: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=100127 later on we may want to have other packages like a FEAPI Host for example. I can see If I succeed in making the changes if you want. |

That would be perfectly fine with me. I think now I understand the package/release/filename struture. I've disabled older packages/release (It seems it's not possible to delete them) and re uploaded everything from scratch under the FEAPI package with releases 1.0-RC1 (2005) and 1.0 (2007) |

Hi there, thank you Alex, that you took the time to pack everything together for the release. Koen, unfortunately I couldn't attend this years DAFx and I am really sorry that I have missed it. I belive you had a lot of fun in Bordeaux and the sessions were really interesting. At the moment and for the next couple of weeks I am in Italy near Verona and it is quite hard to get internet access here. So I don't know when this mail will be delivered - we'll see.
