I m from Asia and studying Computer Science at undergraduate level.I have chosen MIR (Music information retrieval) for my final year project. The idea is to extract the music content based on the quality chosen by the user(i.e piano tones, rhythmic guitar, flute etc) from music of his choice and match that information with the collection of music already in the database...I have read the research paper on MIR published in 2008.After reading it, we are left with two options....Either extract the music content using music signal processing or extracting the symolic music representation...We have no people in our university who have domain expertise in music area ...I came across your work on Sourceforge.net and was impressed by your work. We'll be very very thankful if you guide us in this area...We have to submit the project next year by best before June..... Expecting a reply considering we are someone from Asia and need help... Thanking you in anticipation.. _________________________________________________________________ Windows Live: Keep your friends up to date with what you do online. http://www.microsoft.com/middleeast/windows/windowslive/see-it-in-action/social-network-basics.aspx?ocid=PID23461::T:WLMTAGL:ON:WL:en-xm:SI_SB_1:092010 |

Hi there, thank you Alex, that you took the time to pack everything together for the release. Koen, unfortunately I couldn't attend this years DAFx and I am really sorry that I have missed it. I belive you had a lot of fun in Bordeaux and the sessions were really interesting. At the moment and for the next couple of weeks I am in Italy near Verona and it is quite hard to get internet access here. So I don't know when this mail will be delivered - we'll see. I've disabled older packages/release (It seems it's not possible to delete them) and re uploaded everything from scratch under the FEAPI package with releases 1.0-RC1 (2005) and 1.0 (2007) |

Yes, he's a very good friend of mine. Alexander: I've seen how other sf projects works, and I think we should have only one package named FEAPI with several versions attached to it, and for each version several files (src, win32, mac...) see for example: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=100127 later on we may want to have other packages like a FEAPI Host for example. If I remember correctly, there's still this issue with the loading of bundles within the test host on Mac. Otherwise, the MaxMSP host and all the plugins are working correctly. I just need to find the time to package a binary release. best remy Koen Tanghe wrote: > alexander lerch wrote, On 2007-05-22 12:37: > >>2. I can access the archives with both IE 7.0 and FireFox 2.0.0.1, both while logged in (but I'm not admin) and while not. But I can only access from the FEAPI project home page (http://sourceforge.net/projects/feapi). If I try to access from https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/feapi-discussion, I always get an error "No Forum Chosen". Since it worked until last Monday, it may be some temporary problem due to sourceforge maintenance. Maybe we can try again in the next few days and see what happens... BTW, I'm also experiencing problems with the IE 7.0.x version update. For example, I cannot open anymore embedded QuickTime objects. Gualtiero |

I asked a graphic/web designer/developer I know (http://www.davyvandenbremt.be) if he felt like having a look at our main page, and see if he could make it a bit more attractive in a simple way. He said he was going to have a look at it (but it's not going to be for this week any more). I'll let you all know how that goes. I don't think we really need to wait for this (unless his design would almost be ready by the time we would do the release). Koen |

Well, just found out it has nothing to do with IE: if I am logged in to SourceForge (be it in IE or in FF), I can not access the archives. Both give me a "505 Internal server error". When I log out first, everything is fine... I guess (well, I hope) that this will not be a problem for other people (maybe it is just because I have admin rights for feapi and the site does different things when I'm logged in etc...). When I find an extra moment, I may still notify this to SF support staff though...
