I had all of the issues reported here with Tomcat 5.5.15, but everything works fine on 5.5.7

I suggest you re-issue the installation docs to make it clear that 5.5.7 is specifically required.

Note there's also a typo error on your mysql instructions, where you suggest the user logs in as fddpma to create the user fddpma ;)

  The FDDPMA is still under development, though it is not as active as it used to be. I plane a new release with some enhancements:
  - more reports;
  - more convinient way to provide description for workpackages
  - Administrative interface to the application, where Admin can see projects statistics and delete projects if needed.
  - Some bug fixes.
  
  No date for the new release yet.

  The problem is fixed. Please download version 1.3. It has been tested with latest Tomcat 5.5.17. Make sure you read the new installation instructions.
