The plugin does allow to easily add GoogleMaps to any page (as long as scripts aren't removed on the server).
This post does explain it briefly http://alfonsoml.blogspot.com/2008/02/googlemaps-in-fckeditor.html and you can test it in http://martinezdelizarrondo.com/googlemaps/

Wow, looks great. Could you make it possible so that we can also change the image of the marker or have multiple images for the marker?

That could be possible of course, the Google Maps API does allow it, but you know, implementing it takes some time, and I don't have almost no free time at all.
Just look at the time that this plugin has been ready before I took the time to publish it.

Apologies if this is not the place for bug reports, but I can't get this to work (in wikimedia 1.12.0).
I get the popup, which works fine, and and when I click OK I get the Google logo in a box, but then there's nothing in the wikitext except [[Image:]].
Any idea where I'm going wrong?
Once again, apologies if this is the wrong place to ask.
Fantastic plugin, really well thought out!

It's easy. You are using wikimedia, and the plugin does generate HTML, not wikitext.
