I came across your project and thought great, I have a geforce and I'm using freebsd. So I compiled your driver and loaded the kld and it detected it! Now I thought, what does it exactly do. I am trying to get Unreal Tournament to run in opengl decently. Is this driver going to help me at all. Right now I run ut in linux compat mode. I guess what I'm trying to find out is can xwindows make use of this driver?

This driver will help down the road. But it's still extremely pre-alpha. The current road map is to first get the driver working for compat mode (using the linux libs from nvidia corp, so UT and q3 should work fine), then get fully native freebsd support so developers can use accelerated ogl in fbsd if they have the appropriate nvidia card. X4 will be able to use this driver once it's working. We'll make announcements when it does.
