FBpanel is a wonderful panel but I'm french and not everyone speaks English in my country ! :)

So I translated it to french, and made a package, but now I have another problem : I've got 2 users on my machine, one with locale fr_FR and the other with en_US. So it's the installed version of fbpanel, fbpanel/fbpanel-fr, that determines its locale...

Can you implement locales in fbpanel ?

Here's the patch to translate it in french : http://aur.archlinux.org/packages/fbpanel-fr/fbpanel-fr/fr.patch
I'm ready to write the .po file if you want. But we need the implementation in fbpanel.

Hoping the locale support will come soon so that I could send a .po file for italian too. :)

    Hi
I've added internatiolization support to fbpanel. It's comited to svn. To add new translation, say French, run this script from project's top dir
    ./scripts/create_po.sh --package=fbpanel --version=6.2 --locale=fr_FR.UTF-8
This will create PO file under po/ directory.

P.S. currently, the only strings marked for translation are those coming from menu and taskbar plugins. GUI config translation is not done yet. Will finish it later

The fr_FR.UTF-8.po file, complete (including even future translation of the configuration interface) is there :
    http://pastebin.archlinux.fr/425271

Thanks in advance for its inclusion and for the localization to come for the configuration interface !

Additionnally, I noticed a tiny omission : I needed to modify rules.mk like this for locales to install in the DESTDIR given to make install :
    sed -i 's| $(DATADIR)/locale| $(DESTDIR)/$(DATADIR)/locale|g' rules.mk
