It would be very nice could the server bind to specific
ip/port combinations instead of the rather generous
current use of INADDR_ANY.

I agree. It's complicated by the fact that I don't know how
to code an ipv6 version of it, but I can definitely do it
for ipv4.

bindv4 and bindv6 server options now exist in FB7 for specific ips.
