I'm not sure if this bug is in fb6, or if you developers have
access to the fb5 tree.. but please tell me what to do with this
patch:
Naturally if you got into a vehicle that is @linked to you, and it
got swept home, you'd have a parent loop, however, @unlink's
action when used on a 'thing' is to set the link to the owner. So if
you're the owner, and you get into a vehicle then @unlink here,
you create a parent paradox which goes unnoticed by the code.
The attached patch eliminates the oversight
Please e-mail me with comments on:
1) If this bug is in fb6 too
2) If I made the change properly
3) If you can incorporate this patch into fb5 (or if not, who do I
send the patch to, if anyone?)
Patch against src/set.c from fb5.68
Quoted from Winged:
-
You can enter a vehicle that's linked to you, as long as it's not currently in your inventory. If anyone tries to sweep it or send it home, they'll get a "Containers cannot contain themselves!" error message.
It's only when there's an attempt to send it home that there's a problem.

Closing.
