Category: None Group: None >Status: Closed Priority: 5 Submitted By: Andrew (mastertech) >Assigned to: Amir Szekely (kichik) Summary: New Windows Icon Initial Comment: This needs a better Windows Icon for the Desktop and Startmenu. Here is one I made, please feel free to use it or modify it as needed. This will help the game port look more polished. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Amir Szekely (kichik) Date: 2005-12-10 17:07 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=584402 For future versions as well, if there'll be any. Not as simple as it sounds... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Andrew (mastertech) Date: 2005-12-10 15:43 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=962693 Ok now I see the two different versions. Yours requires installing SDL_Perl. That is a pain. Everything the program needs should be included with the installer. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Amir Szekely (kichik) Date: 2005-12-10 14:59 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=584402 My version doesn't contain frozen-bubble.exe. You're probably talking about fbe-win32 and not fb-win32. That's another version, based on mine, that's compiled into an executable using perlcc, if I recall correctly. My version contains an icon with a 48x48 version. As for the second window, its Perl's. Maybe one day, when I'll release another version, I'll get rid of that somehow. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Andrew (mastertech) Date: 2005-12-10 14:48 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=962693 (My apologizes, forget the last comment, I was on a different account - a user account in XP when I posted that and no icon is shown there but there is one when using an Admin account.) Back to my first comment - Yes there is an icon but it does not look very good. I looked through the installation files and there is a better one in \Frozen-Bubble\gfx\icon.ico The one on the desktop is from \Frozen-Bubble\frozen-bubble. exe. It looks like two gears and a bubble. The first one I mentioned is higher res with the penguin mascot and two colored bubbles. That one would look much better as the desktop icon. Also this program loads two windows, one in the background that looks like a command line. There should be only one. Why does it do this and can you get rid of the other window? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Amir Szekely (kichik) Date: 2005-12-10 13:58 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=584402 What exactly do you mean by changing the installation path? Selecting another directory but the default "C:\Program Files\Frozen Bubble" in the installer's directory page? And if the icon doesn't show just on the desktop, why did you mention the start menu in the original comment? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Andrew (mastertech) Date: 2005-12-10 03:53 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=962693 In the current build after installation the desktop shortcut in Windows XP does not display an icon if you change the installation path. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Amir Szekely (kichik) Date: 2005-11-29 19:56 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=584402 Hmm... The icon already contains a 48x48 version. Why add another one? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=555156&aid=1368326&group_id=78987 |
