I'm experiencing some packet loss when running fatcaps 0.5 under Ubuntu 8.04 (without X) on a relatively new core duo machine.

My debugging has ruled out the receivers (tried two different ones), and the ethernet card (VLC running on the same machine doesn't fix anything).

Has anybody else run into this kind of problem and discovered some solution or workaround?

I'm wondering if the ASI interface card (from dveo.com) can be the cause, the transmitter itself does not report any problem with the stream.
