Stream selection

t31pa

Video files contain multiple streams, most usually contain one audio stream and one video stream. However, it is not uncommon for video files to have multiple subtitle, video, audio or data streams. Fast Forward enables you to decide on which streams you want to keep through the use of the “Edit File” window.

To select which streams you want to keep in your output file, highlight the desired file in the main window, and click “Edit File”. Then, in the list of streams under “Stream selection”, deselect any files you don’t want. By default, all streams are selected. Remember; a tick in the box means that stream will be present in your output file.

Due to the nature of the wonderful world of video and its encoding, if you want to use the Stream select option you cannot cut your file more than once. To cut your file more than once and remove streams, just run your file through Fast Forward twice (i.e. once removing streams, then again cutting it up).
