Because the platform EOL sequence on Windows is \r\n, if using fmtln() to write to a string and then output that via stdio, will get \r\r\n in the file
Note sure whether it's anything that the library can/should do anything about, but a gotcha if not
Is the end-of-line marker configurable in your class libraries?
