If you press F7
to open the Find sequence dialog, the start typing in any of the edit controls (other than Hex), the autocomplete dropdown menu opens up to show entries from history. If you now press the Up
or Down
arrow keys, the autocomplete dropdown disappears.
Note that the dropdown is still active, just not visible on the screen. All of the autocomplete navigation keys continue to work in this state. If you now move the mouse pointer over the invisible dropdown area, it will become visible. Alternatively, you can press Alt+Tab
or click outside to switch to another window, then return back to Far. This will also make the autocomplete dropdown visible.
When the autocomplete dropdown menu is hidden, you need to press Esc
twice to close the dialog — the first Esc
closes the invisible autocomplete dropdown, and the second Esc
closes the Find sequence dialog.

5842 works as expected
You're right. I just tested both versions, and it works in Far
5842
and breaks in5843
. So, the issue is with Far, not Hexitor.Do you want me to report this issue in Far, or would you like to do it yourself?
Please do it yourself. I have a lot of things to do right now, sorry.
No worries. Done.
