Within the labor tab, you can:
- enter a labor record (Input Form)
- view a labor report (Report)
Within the labor report, administrative users can edit and delete records. Note that harvesting, direct planting and transplanting records must be edited and deleted within the specific reports for those tasks.
Before the labor tab can be used, an administrative user must have entered:
- any labor tasks other than those pre-supplied with FARMDATA
- fields
- crops
Additionally, a labor task for a particular crop can only be entered for a field in which that crop is seeded in the task year. Note that labor for direct seeding, transplanting and harvesting is entered on the input forms for those tasks, and should not be re-entered here.
To use the input form:
- select the labor date
- select the field where the labor occurred (or N/A)
- use the "Add Crop" button to add all crops for this labor task
- select each crop
- select the percentage of the labor applied to each crop. Labor percentages must sum to 100%.
- select the labor task
- enter the number of workers
- enter the labor time in minutes or hours. Note that the form will automatically time labor tasks - if you open the form when you start working on the task, the time in the "Enter time" box will increase by one for each minute that the form is open. This time will then be submitted when you click "Submit".
- enter any comments
- click "Submit"
- confirm data correctness by clicking "OK", or "Cancel" to modify any aspect of the labor record
