Within the fertilizer tab, you can:
- enter a liquid fertilizer application record (Liquid Fertilizer->Input Form)
- view a liquid fertilizer report (Liquid Fertilizer->Report)
- enter a dry fertilizer application record (Dry Fertilizer->Input Form)
- view a dry fertilizer report (Dry Fertilizer->Report)
Within each report, administrative users can edit and delete records.
Before the fertilizer tab can be used, an administrative user must have entered:

For liquid fertilizer:
- fields
- liquid fertilizer materials

For dry fertilizer:
- fields
- dry fertilizer materials
Both the liquid and dry fertilizer tabs are optional. Additionally, note that FARMDATA only supports applying liquid fertilizer via a drip irrigation system.
Liquid Fertilizer (optional tab)
To use the input form:
- select the date
- select the fertilizer material
- select the unit
- use the "Add Field" button to add each field to be fertilized. For each field:
- select the field
- enter the number of drip rows
- enter the labor time in minutes or hours. Note that the form will automatically time fertilizer tasks - if you open the form when you start fertilizing, the time in the "Enter time" box will increase by one for each minute that the form is open. This time will then be submitted when you click "Submit", distributed over the fields proportionally to the number of drip rows in each.
- enter any comments
- click "Submit"
- confirm data correctness by clicking "OK", or "Cancel" to modify any aspect of the liquid fertilizer record
Report
To run a liquid fertilizer report:
- select a date range
- select a field (or All)
- select a material (or All)
- click "Submit"
- FARMDATA will then display a table of all liquid fertilizer records that satisfy the selected parameters. If you select a specific material, the table will be followed by the total amount of that material applied. Note that you can find the total for a particular field by selecting that field (and material).

if desired, use the "Download Report" button to download the report as a Comma Separated Value (CSV) file that can be opened as a spreadsheet.
Dry Fertilizer (optional tab)
To use the input form:
- select the date
- select the field to be fertilized
- select the crops fertilized, using the "Add Crop" and "Remove Crop" buttons as needed to add and remove crops
- select the fertilizer material
- enter the application rate in pounds per acre
- select the number of beds to be fertilized
- select the width of the planted area within each bed
- FARMDATA will automatically calculate the amount of fertilzer to apply to each bed.
- enter the labor time in minutes or hours. Note that the form will automatically time fertilizer tasks - if you open the form when you start fertilizing, the time in the "Enter time" box will increase by one for each minute that the form is open. This time will then be submitted when you click "Submit".
- enter any comments
- click "Submit"
