FALF Player 1.3 Hollyhock GPLv2 (c) 2006-2008, amdfanatyk I. FOREWORD FALF Player is open source audio player for Unix-like operating systems (Linux, BSD, etc.). I actively develop this application since year 2006 - that year I decided to begin work on my own player. Mainly because I was fed up with Amarok but also because I was suffering due to the lack of multiplaylist support I was accustomed to by foobar2000. I mixed together: hate, desire and stubbornness. The thing I've obtained is called FALF (Fuck Amarok Love Foobar). II. PHILOSOPHY General idea is to keep player as simple as possible. One the one hand it should be free of useless crap that can be found in Amarok, on the other hand it should take the best ideas from foobar2000 and mix them with additional ideas that make work with audio player even more convenient. I'm also focused on stability and attempt to provide users with stable solutions even in svn repository. III. DEPENDENCIES Qt 3, 3.4 <= KDE < 4, xine-lib, taglib IV. FEATURES multiplaylist support, lyrics support, m3u support, last.fm support, HTTP streams support (radio), built-in tags' editor, built-in equalizer, easy transfer of tracks to removable device, customizable accelerators, high stability, low memory consumption V. INSTALLATION See INSTALL and UNINSTALL files. VI. CONTRIBUTION You can contribute to project by preparing patches or translations. Other ways of contribution such as posting ideas or artwork are also welcome.
