FACK (Free Adventure Construction Kit) is a toolkit for creating adventure games, similar to AGS. The main features are: 1. graphic engine for dynamic lighting in 2d scenes; 2. Verb-based GUI that prevents "meta-reasoning"; 3. the editor works in linux.
