FaceTrackNoIRV200 not recognizing Tobii 5

Installed FaceTrackNoIR V200 along with the V204a plugin pack and the V203 Tobii 5 plugin pack. Started FaceTrackNoIR and it does not capture the input from the Tobii5. I've tried to uninstall the programs, downloaded again and reinstalled with the same results. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get FaceTrackNoIR to recognize the Tobii 5?
I've been wrestling with this for weeks with my Tobii 5 but have now fixed it!
For me the issue was having the plugin pack also installed. I uninstalled the lot, reinstalled facetracknoir and SetupFaceTrackNoIR_v203_Tobii5.exe and it works fine. If I install the Plugin pack it breaks it. This is entirely repeatable, I've checked.
Give it a go and see if it works for you.

Same for me. It just doesn't pick it up. Everything followed perfectly in the instructions but it just does nothing when the Start button is clicked. The settings for the 4C in my case have an empty check box against "connected" even though the Tobii software is showing my eyes being tracked live in the taskbar

This thread is about the Tobii 5. Do you have a 5, or a 4C?
I have a 4C but I am having the exact same issue. I have narrowed it down through my own digging to being something to do with the DLL and a recent Windows update.
I managed to get it to work by downloading the EyeX plugin pack and manually running the "TobiiTracker.exe" file that is within [program files/Abbequerque Inc/FaceTrackNoIR_v200/tobii]
Running that exe and then selecting the EyeX in the menu seemed to work. Even setting up the curves to match another bloggers configuration of his 4C (which can also apply to the 5) was possible using the EyeX option.
I think something in the newer 4C and 5 DLL is not working with Windows 10 anymore.

OK, thanks for the feedback and I'm glad that you did find a work-around.
After reading your post I tested the Tobii 5 on my W10 and it works fine. But I do not have the 4C any more, so I cannot really test that...
I have the same problem but with Tobii 5. It worked fine until mid July but now it is impossible to make it work. Exactly same issue as Sophie and Bob.

Can you post a screenshot of the settings window of the Tobii tracker from FaceTrackNoIR?
Here it is. I also captured the preview of Tobii5 to show that it works perfectly. The problem is that it isn't recognized by Facetracknoir anymore.

OK, I have performed a little test myself, to see what could be wrong.
When I open the Tobii5 settings window, I see the same but with one distinct difference: the screen width and height are non-zero (for me, 1920 x 1080). So I suspect that something was not initialized?
When I rename the tobii5 DLL in the FaceTrackNoIR folder, no device is found. So in your case the DLL seems to be OK.
What should I do then? Everything was working fine until mid july. Any idea?
I've tried with an old PS3 Cam and it works but I want to use Tobbi.

I understand. The Tobii is not as cheap as FaceTrackNoIR :).
You have probably tried removing the Tobii software completely and then reïnstalling it?
Maybe you can try it on another PC, just to be sure?
Hi, I also have the same problem. There seems to be no input from the Tobii 5. The lights are on and the T5 works perfectly.
It's the same with me (doesn't want to work.

Hello,
We have investigated this matter a bit and it seems that the screen resolution plays a role in this. For some users the width of the screen is returning '0' (for you it does not).
I have relayed this question to Tobii and am waiting for an answer...
i have the tobii eye 5 running well with the latest software. no issues at all. i did invert the axis settings and some curve management for fine tuning. i use a wide-screen monitor and latest windows. Thanks Wim for the help.

Tobii asks for the make and model of your widescreen monitor. Could you specify that?
In my case, it is a Samsung Odyssey G9 49G9.
Resolution is 5120x1440

A quick update from me,
I removed my old Sony TV I was using as a 3rd screen for gaming and replaced it with an Asus 27" monitor. That may be purely incidental, but I decided to try once more to setup my Tobii 5 and Factracknoir on the smaller monitor I use for work. I am happy to say that it works! I have no idea yet as to why, but will continue to investigate.
The challenge now is to get it all to work on the Asus monitor attached to my driving rig. Sadly I have not been able to get that to work. It just does not detect the Tobii 5. Same settings, I've just set my Tobii 5 up for a diferent monitor. Eye tracking works fine. Any ideas? Oh, my primary and secondary monitors take their input from my mother board and the gaming monitor is plugged into my graphics card.

Can you also post a screenshot of the Tobii tracker settings dialog? I fear that it will also show that the screen dimensions are not read correctly...
Same issue here. 0 in both fields for resolution. I have an Acer 27" LED K272HLE running 1920x1080.
EDIT: Last night I updated my PC from Win 10 1909 to 20H2 and voila, it works!
But as someone mentioned, installing FULL Plugin-pack, it stops working again. I just installed the FreeTrack-plugin to emulate TrackIR in Farming Sim 19.
