FTNoIR_FaceAPI_EXE works but FaceTrackNoIR does not

FTNoIR_FaceAPI_EXE works but FaceTrackNoIR does not

Running the test API works perfectly, starts the camera and correctly tracks my face. However, when selecting faceAPI as a tracker source in FaceTrackNoIR and click settings it says "Engine state: TERMINATED". Selecting PointTracker 1.0 correctly starts the camera and shows an image in FTNR.

I'm running Windows 8.1 on a 27" iMac with built in iSight. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

By running the test API, you mean FTNoIR_FaceAPI_EXE.exe?
Did you run that from the command line?

Yes, the FTNoIR_FaceAPI_EXE.exe, which I ran by double clicking in the File Explorer.
