Hi everyone! I bought a new PC and now FaceApi just doesnt start (State: terminated).
My old PC was a win 7 - 32 bits and it worked perfectly. Now I have win 10 - 64 bits and it doesnt work. I tried to open FaceApi manually and i get the "error: -13". Other tracking sources do work (Visage), but they are not as good as FaceApi :(
Any help?
Thanks :D
Ps: Sorry for my english...i am from Chile :)

Sorry about not getting back to this one, as I was reviewing the posts, I noticed that your face is too dark on the one side. This I believe has not let the faceAPI tracker work correctly, and if it would happen to start tracking, you will notice faceAPI tracker just will not function properly.

I am aware of the lightning issue to have a proper tracking of my face. The real problem here is that FaceAPI doesnt even start. 3 months have pass and i still dont solve this problem :/

Okay, there is only one more thing that I could think of, and that is to "Run as Adminstrator", but I haven't any idea why other trackers work, and not faceAPI.

Same problem here with Logitech C310, but strange issue is when I run FTNoIR_FaceAPI_EXE under faceAPI folder of the software, I see that enginestate is changing from faceAPI tracker settings.
Moreover, If I can click "Camera" from faceAPI tracker settings before the cmd window closes, I can reach the cam options, but when the cmd window closes, everything stop again at software.
Besides, I am able to use Headtracking demo, able to run webcam utiliy under options of the program.
I know its an old thread but I'm having the same problem using an original x360 kinect camera.
The thing is it works in starcitizen with FOIP (using NiVirtualCam + ManyCam) but if I try to use FaceTrackNoir's FaceAPI V3.2.6 (with or without ManyCam open) nothing happens.
In faceAPI's settings the engine state is always TERMINATED and trying to start FTNoIR_FaceAPI.EXE manualy (either in administrator mode or not) gives me the error code -13.
Btw the Webcam Utility of FaceTrackNoir works flawlessly, I can see myself.

The Webcam utility shows kinect cam, OpenNi virtual camera and ManyCam.
The thing is when manycam is not installed on my computer the webcam utility does not even work, its closes itself as soon as I start it and FaceTrackNoir defaults itself to the kinect cam instead of OpenNi Virtual Cam.
And yes I tried using it without any games running.

Thanks a lot for your help Wim but everything I tried (even what you suggested) didn't do a thing so I went and bought a ps3 eye camera and now everything works as it should. :)

Hello, I am having a similar issue where FaceApi is terminated. I have reinstalled several times. I've run in administrator. I've disabled or removed all things that came up as webcam except for my PS3 eye camera. The webcam utility shows the camera working but FaceApi remains terminated. Manually running the .exe shows the command 0 issue. What other actions can I take to try and make it work?

I have the same problem (faceAPI 3.2.6) - TERMINATED. I'm using a PS3Eye camera with CL-Eye-Driver-5.3.0.0341 if I close the FaceTrackNoIR and execute FTNoIR_FaceAPI_EXE from FaceTrackNoIR_v200/faceApi everything works there. What is causing it? I have no other webcams or pseudowebcams installed in my system.

Actually, FaceTrackNoIR starts the same process (FTNoIR_FaceAPI_EXE) and communicates with it. So if it runs manually, it should also work if FaceTrackNoIR starts it...
Maybe something keeps FaceTrackNoIR from starting the process. Have you tried running FaceTrackNoIR 'As Administrator'? You could even start tracking in FaceTrackNoIR and the start the exe manually...

Hello Andrés,
I suppose it can be a driver problem. What kind of webcam do you have?
Maybe you can try ManyCam?
Hi Wim, I have a logitech C525. The cam is working fine. Here is a photo using ManyCam and at the side, FaceApi with terminated state :(
Did you open ManyCam before opening faceAPI? I think only one video source can be used at a time, but I might be mistaken.

Hi sf4JC, i just read your post haha
I am aware of the lightning issue to have a proper tracking of my face. The real problem here is that FaceAPI doesnt even start. 3 months have pass and i still dont solve this problem :/
Do you still start ManyCam before FaceTrackNoIR? I do not use ManyCam, so I am unsure of the proper use of it. I am glad you fixed the lighting issue.
Scott
I dont even use ManyCam. I downloaded it just because Wim wanted to see if my cam works. I uninstalled it right after that.
Okay, there is only one more thing that I could think of, and that is to "Run as Adminstrator", but I haven't any idea why other trackers work, and not faceAPI.
Scott
Nope, that doesnt work either. Yeah, i dont know why other trackers do work right, when FaceApi just happens to be my favorite. Too bad :/

Does the webcam utility show more than one video-source in the device list?
I assume you have tried this without StarCitizen running too? Only one application can access the video-stream at any given time...
The Webcam utility shows kinect cam, OpenNi virtual camera and ManyCam.

Hi Joel,
Is there a way to disable the Kinect cam and the OpenNi cam? Maybe through Windows device manager?
faceAPI should work fine with ManyCam
Thanks a lot for your help Wim but everything I tried (even what you suggested) didn't do a thing so I went and bought a ps3 eye camera and now everything works as it should. :)
Hello Joel,
Great idea: have fun!
Hello, since i don't want to go buying a PS3 eye camera did you guys found out what was the problem cause i have the same issue. My camera is a C615

Hello Allen,
Did you check for codec problems?
Hi Wim,
Thanks for responding! I have used the codec tweak tool and tried to apply fixes, but to no avail.
