I have this odd situation where when I start FaceTrackNoIR and it works with Microsoft flight sim. I tied a key (PgUP though I've tried others) to Start and Stop it within FaceTrackNoIR. It Stops on the first key press but subsequent key presses don't Start it again. I have to alt tab to it and click "Stop" then "Start" to get it back.
However, after I do that, Microsoft Flight Sim doesn't track anymore and needs to be restarted. I just want to pause it while streaming.

I noticed that when I start it, it won't start tracking until MS Flight Sim is loaded. However as I write this post I'm playing with it and it randomly seems to start tracking me.

I also get crashes sometimes when starting and stopping. I'll upload a log if I get it to happen again (It won't repro now that I want a log of course.)

    Hello Wenceslao,

Which MS Flight sim do you have? Are you using the FreeTrack protocol, or SimConnect?

    I figured it out.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 40th Anniversary Premium Deluxe
    Velocity One Flight Yoke
    Velocity One Rudder Pedals
    Windows 11
    FaceAPI and Free Track 2.1

Essentially the issue was that I have a desk lamp that hangs over my desk. I points down for reading. It wasn't enough light for FaceTrackNoIR. So I could start the app and it tracks me fine, BUT when I paused it and started it again, my lighting wasn't sufficient. It WAS unpaused but couldn't resolve my face. If I tilt my light so that it shines on my face, it works better and does enable properly. Here's a link of me demonstrating. So it all comes down to my lighting isn't enough and now that I know I can compensate. It was just wild that it works when you start it up but not after.

OK, thanks for your update. I can't seem to stress it enough: face-tracking requires (very) good light :)
