Hey everyone, I got myself a logitech C920 and I mean to use it with Facetracknoir. I already did some tests using headtracking and it works ok. I would preffer to use pointracker, though.
I did some tests again with pointracker and while the C920 has some sort of IR filter, it can see if I point a TV remote to it, for example. How necessary it is to remove its filter? I read it isnt that hard but if I could avoid open the goddamn thing I would preffer to.
Also, I heard about adding some sort of film negative / color gel or even floppy disk taken apart to the camera front. Why is that necessary? Would it be easier for it to pickup the IR LEDs? I should be getting my leds / wires and stuff by this week so I hope everything goes smoooth.
