I have CTS and have been wondering about FaceTrackNoIr for awhile now. I would love to be able to play first person games but unfortunately I'm unable to use any sort of gaming peripheral including a foot switch which limits me to voice, head, and eye movement as my only input sources.
What I'd like to know is if this software can convert head movement into a "movement" joystick while at the same time utilizing a Tobii 4c tracker and Project Iris to look around with my character. This way I could move and look using only my head/eyes while using VoiceAttack for everything else.
Let's say this was possible, would I need to have multiple webcams going to accomplish this? I'm very unsure how all this technology works together. Thanks!

Sorry for my late reply. Which game do you have in mind?
Many things depend on the options the game-developers have built in the game. If the game supports the Tobii 4C (using their GameHub), you could use a webcam and FaceTrackNoIR to send 'other data' via the Joystick or FreeTrack interface.

The games I had in mind were Fallout New Vegas, Skyrim, Daggerfall, and Minecraft. I had a look through Tobii's website and it doesn't look like these games are supported unfortunately. I'm almost certain that Project Iris will work regardless but what about FaceTrackNoIr? Does it require integration by the developers to function as a joystick?

Hello Wim Vriend, it's no problem.

Hello James,
Yes, you should find joystick-related configuration settings if the developers have implemented them.
I see, thanks.
