I am getting a rather annoying issue, FTN crashes immediately when I try to run it with this error in the event log:

I am running Windows 8 Pro 64-bit, and running the program as administrator. It seems that this is some sort of graphics driver related issue, although I am not getting this error with any other application.
The strangest thing is that I got it to run the first time I installed it, then after closing it down it will not run again with the error above. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, rebooting, still can't get it to run again. Can't think what the problem could be. I literally just closed it, and ran it again. I can get the HeadTracking demo to work, and also my camera drivers seem to be running just fine.
Any help would be appreciated.
A quick look indeed confirms that it's an NVidia DLL, which seems to be crashing the application. Weird that it worked the first time...
Maybe installing the latest DirectX will help?
OK, so here is something weird.
When I install it, and make sure all components are ticked to install, I can run it once. It seems to work just fine. I quit it and run it again, that time (and every subsequent time) loads the tray icon - waits about 5 seconds - then quits with the error in OP.
What's even weirder is that I don't change and settings or save anything when I run it that first time. I simply quit it, and try to run it again. What changes after the first run to then crash out DirectX? Very weird indeed.
I tried to install the latest DirectX, and reinstalled my NVidia drivers, all with no changes.
Maybe it's because of the prehistoric Qt version used by 1.7? How many years ago was 4.6.2 released exactly? :P
Other than that, do you use Fraps or any other DLL-injection programs? They might be causing it...
OK, I haven't tested it properly yet, but it seems the problem was with MSI Afterburner OSS . I have fraps installed but not running, so I ruled that out.
In MSI Afterburner On-Screen Display Server, I added FaceTrackNoIR.exe to the applications list and set detection to none. After that it seems to be running fine without crashing!
I can at least have a little play around now, I'm looking forward to it :) Thanks to Wim and Stanislaw for your help and input! Much appreciated.
It's a bug in the injector itself then, not in FTNOIR. Glad you got it sorted out.

Try again with the same injector. It shouldn't crash anymore anyway.
