No offense, but not everyone wants to have to compile
software just to be able to use it. I see this as the
major downfall of open-source, the reason why it has
not caught the attention of the mass market. If there
was a pre-compiled version available on sourceforge and
your web site, then more people might be inclined to
use it. Mind you, it would have to be one that you
compile yourselves, not a pre-comiled version that you
found on another web site.

    Offering compiled AAC binaries without patent license is not possible.
