Can you please clarify the first stage of the install process
"1. reading log files need 'adm' permission granted to 'www-data' (apache user), that is, in /etc/groups, 'www-data' must be listed in 'adm' group"
Ubuntu 6.06 doesn't have /etc/groups but it does have /etc/group and /etc/group-
I've assumed that /etc/groups and /etc/group is the same file
The first install i assumed that the file was all ready set up and no change was necessary e.g.
then on the second install i have assumed that i needed to change the file to
Now im not sure of either. Help :)
This is currently my full file
use comma (,) instead of colon(:)
you can use this command as root
usermod -G adm -a www-data
