Is your list indexed AND archived? (i.e. ezmlm-make -i -a)

Also, are you sure you're running ezmlm-idx instead of the plain ezmlm?
Can you do a ls -la of your mailing list directory so that we can check
the situation? Provide information. Check permissions, also.
