Greetings, I recently installed ezmlm-www and I'm having a very weird problem. On the archives I have for instance mails till the May 18, 2005 but on the web interface only appear to the May 13. I've noticed doing a ls -ls on the maling list archive that the 13 is on one directory and from 13 forward is on another. Did any one had this problem before ? Thank you Regards Rechena |

Alessandro: Molto gratsi! I spent some time playing around with my setup, last night and was able to get a bit further, but you may be right on the permissions issue. Here are my details: 1. I have VPOPmail installed 2. I installed the perl vopmail module from CPAN 3. My Config.PM is below: #--------------------------------------------------------------------------- # ezmlm-www (configuration file - see README) #--------------------------------------------------------------------------- #------------ #-- This option specifies the language used for localized strings: $lang = 'en'; #------------ #-- To enable vpopmail support just uncomment the following line: use vpopmail; #------------ #--Additional configuration options: %Config = ( #--These settings will be used for vpopmail-based mailing lists: DefaultVpopmailSettings => { conceal_senders => 1, subscription_info => 1, descending_by_default => 1 }, VpopmailAccess => { default_policy => 'allow', allow_lists => ['qb...@qb...'], deny_lists => [], allow_domains => ['qbabes.net'], deny_domains => [] } ); #-- Mailing list configuration goes here: # push(@$lists, { # name => 'qb...@qb...', # local_part => 'qbabes', # host_part => 'qbabes.net', # description => 'The QBabes Mailing List', # archive => Mail::Ezmlm::Archive->new('/home/vpopmail/domains/qbabes.net/qbabes'), # conceal_senders => 1, # subscription_info => 1, # descending_by_default => 1, # bydate_by_default => 0 #}); ## To add more lists, just copy-and-paste the previous block ## (see following commented example). ## # push(@{$lists}, { # name => 'ano...@ex...', # local_part => 'another-list', # host_part => 'example.com', # description => 'My second list', # archive => Mail::Ezmlm::Archive->new('/path/to/other/list/directory'), # conceal_senders => 1, # subscription_info => 1, # descending_by_default => 1 # bydate_by_default => 0 # }); 1; Ezmlm-www Permission: -rw-r--r-- 1 nobody nobody config.pm -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root ezmlm-www.pl -rwxr-xr-x 1 vpopmail root index.cgi List Archive directory permissions: drwx------ 7 vpopmail vchkpw 4096 2005-04-27 03:09 archive -rw------- 1 vpopmail vchkpw 0 2005-04-22 16:48 archived With this setup, i get a page! You can check it out at www.qbabes.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi However, I now get a new error in my apache error_log: Can't call method "getmonths" on an undefined value at ./ezmlm-www.pl line 55. Indexed List: Yes. I can do this because I am able to see the list archive on ezmlm.cgi. My goal was to move to ezmlm-www for added security by stripping out email addresses, etc. Did I get my permissions settings wrong? I'm guessing this may be the issue. Thanks again and thank you for the response! T. Hi: not sure if anyone is on this list, but keep receiving the following error in my error logs under apache when running ezmlm-www: 1. I have 2 lists running. 2. I already have been running archiving on the list using ezmlm-archive 3. The List server lists one of the lists I have 4. When I click on the list, the page reloads at http://www.qbabes.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi?0 the apache log error I get is: Can't call method "getcount" on an undefined value at ./ezmlm-www.pl line 40. Anything I'm missing? Thanks, Taariq |

Greetings, ezmlm-www 1.2 was released today and it's now downloadable from SourceForge's website at the following URL: https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=3D78579 New features/improvements: o Access control lists for vpopmail Bugfixes: o Fixed wrong algorithm in calc_month() o Fixed default vpopmail variables o Other minor bugs NOTE FOR UPGRADING FROM 1.0: You should upgrade the Mail::Box module, as it's recently changed and ezmlm-www requires its latest internal interface. This could be simply done by typing "perl -MCPAN -e shell" and then "install Mail::Box". Also, development continues: join our ezmlm-www-discuss mailing list to decide what to include in next releases. John Edrington sent me his ideas for possible improvements so I forward them to this mailing list FYI. Unless anyone has any objections I'm going to add those features in ezmlm-www. Also thanks to John for discovering that *huge* bug. It's now fixed in CVS and in the version I'm attaching. - Alessandro Ranellucci =20 =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D Forwarded Message =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D Date: 14-04-2005 12:17 Received: 14-04-2005 17:35 -0000 =46rom: John Edrington <jo...@co...> To: 'Alessandro Ranellucci' <al...@pr...> My current production archives are running on vmailmgr & ezmlm-idx and can be found at: http://archive.acalltoduty.com I'm in the progress of switching my email domains from vmailmgr to vpopmail, so I haven't upgraded ezmlm-www to the latest version yet. This is mostly due to the backwards incompatibility between the latest Mail::Box. I had to downgrade back to Mail-Box-2.053 in order to keep my production archives functional. I have a couple suggestions for the vpopmail integration of ezmlm-www. It would be helpful to be able to block (or block all, and specifically allow) certain lists. =46or instance, if someone knows the name of the mailing list, under the current implementation of ezmlm-www vpopmail integration, they can access the archives (assuming web indexing is on). I would suggest the following improvements: - Enable a way to specifically define lists that CANNOT be accessed via a particular instance of a config.pm - Enable a way to specifically define lists that can get the automatic configuration import from vpopmail... all other lists for this istance of config.pm cannot be accessed - If possible, dynamically create a list of mailing lists in vpopmail. This would be even better if it could restrict to a particular vpopmail domain, and also followed the applicable restrictions by the two previous bullet points. I've also found a bug that is present in both older versions of ezmlm-www and the current (I checked when testing before downgrading) See here for info: Go to http://archive.acalltoduty.com/?0:200411 (Nov 2004) Click Next Month... see how the "Next Month" is incorrect? It takes you to Dec 2005, when the next month is really Dec 2004. Same bug exists when starting in archive Jan 2005, and clicking "Previous Month."=20 I know I've given you a lot of information in one email, I apologize about that. I hope this information helps you improve ezmlm-www. I feel that it is the nicest way to implement web based ezmlm archives.
