I found this error when trying to convert dicom files that I had ftped from my home machine to a server. I noticed that the file sizes were very slightly different on my home machine and server and I think correctly guessed that something had got lost in the ftp process! So I set my ftp client to transfer in binary mode, ftped the files over again and then found that the error no longer happened.
So it could be you are dealing with slightly corrupted dicom files - perhaps due to not having used binary mode to ftp them?
Hope this helps someone :)

I am having a valid dicom file, which a lot of other viewers are able to open.
But when I try the ezDicomX Viewer, I get the following error:
"Error: Dicom header exceeds file size"
Any idea how can one overcome this?
If required, I can mail, in the file also.
Kindly email your ID, and I shall sent in the file.
