EZCite is a free and open source Add-in for Microsoft Word that helps you manage in-text citations.

It's a handy tool for writing essays or doing assignments with strict word limit requirements as it allows you to easily track, monitor, include and exclude citations from a document's word count. Be certain that your work is within the word limit.

It can also be used to collapse or expand text and is compatible with EndNote, More Add-in and Microsoft Word's existing referencing features. There are a number of user interfaces including a Quick Access toolbar, Quick Insert dialog, Citations Manager, Favourites list, and Management interface.
