The range system of the weapons (yours and the enemies) seems to be broken.

Unlike the original and older versions of Exult, all weapons suddenly have the smallest distance possible. This does have very serious consequences for the game.

-Distance weapons are useless, since characters now rush up to the enemy to shoot at point blank (however, does not happen when manually attacking an object). The same goes for the enemy (even Gazers shoot their fireballs at point blank).

-The party clusters around the enemies at absurdly close range (they don't do so in the original), making fights not only a pain but also rising the danger of injury significantly.

-The training schedules of trainers become broken due to it. The fire at archery targets at point blank instead of a distance and often hit thin air inststead of the training dummy with their sword.

Honestly, this right now is the worst bug in Exult and breaks an awful lot. Claims that the original combat system was bad don't negate the fact that right now the range system is BROKEN.

I believe I've fixed this as of a couple weeks ago. Let me know if you still see it as a problem. Previously in Exult, a user of a range weapon would try to shoot from a distance; but if anything or anyone was in the way, he would rush up adjacent to the target. This should no longer happen.
